This is a strong bed for the price, Im 170lbs and can lay with my 2 kids in the bottom bed without cracking noises, lol, they weight 73lbs both together, so thats over 200lbs for the bottom bunk, the top one I dont dare clim it but it has a 150lbs weight limit. The only thing is the wooden slats platform for the top bunk has sharp edges, my husband was laying on the bottom bunk and cut his hand a little as he hit the wooden slats on top of his head once, but nothing mayor. If you have sand paper you can easily smoothen down the edges of the slats, so far we left it like that because my kids dont usually touch the top. It has plenty of room for toys under. And I like the fact that it can separate. The assembling was a bit confusing, the pieces for both bunks come mixed by shape and need to separate them. is easier if you do the bottom bunk first (learn by experience), once we did the first bunk the second went much faster. The smell of new paint and wood went away in about 3 weeks. All in consideration I would buy it again. Update: its been over 4 years and have now separated the beds into different rooms, they are still very sturdy and I would still buy this again.

Put this together by myself in about an hour and a half. The directions were clear, unfortunately, the piece marks were not. Well, actually, there were no piece marks. Pay close attention to the hole patterns shown in the instructions, and all will be well. The long rails that the mattress will sit in is the only part that gave me any trouble. One of them is different. It has holes to mount the rails on the top bunk where the ladder goes. Look for this one so you dont have to take it a part like I did. I used a cordless impact on all the bolts/ screws. Be careful using an impact or drill on the wood screws that hold the rail supports to the tops bunk. The rail material will strip out fairly easy. Overall, this is a nice set of beds for a great price. The way the top bunk mounts to the bottom worried me a bit, but once it was all together, the weight of the top bunk more than holds things together. I am pleased and would advise anyone needing a set of bunk beds, that can also be two twins beds, to jump on this set.

Some of the pieces werent labeled at all and the instructions only have pictures, so there were a couple pieces that were tough to figure out, but once assembled it looks very nice. Actually it looks better than some of the 660 pieces I saw at our local furniture store. And so far weve had no problems with it.
I would love to give this bed five stars. I am very happy with the finished product. However, putting it together was ROUGH. Not because the bed isnt well made// it is. Not because the instructions arent clear// they are surprisingly clear. I give this bed three stars because I spent hours in all/out problem/solving mode trying to assemble the bed because less than half of the wooden parts were marked as indicated in the instructions. Some pieces would say B1 or C2, as they should; others would say nothing and I was left to scrutinize the amount of bolt holes to see if I had the right piece. Frankly, Im surprised it all came together. Its a great product, but I would implore to improve the quality control when it comes to labeling the parts for assembly.
Easy to put together and was in good shape through the shipping process. Wish the mattress slats were a little more refined (sanded) but i can do that myself. My kids love it.
