It raises and lowers the front and rear of your mattress, like every other adjustable mattress base does. It is quiet, pleasant, and easy to use with a long-wire remote control. There is no good reason to waste money on a more expensive adjustable base. The massage features you find on overpriced models are cheap gimmicks.
The only downside I found is that it motor operation is slightly slow. A gimmick massage and an ever-so-slightly-faster motor do not excuse the doubled-price and even more expensive bases out there.

Late 2020 Update: One of the buttons on the controller becomes stuck and you have to twist the button to get it to pop back up from its stuck position. This, however, may be due to a few drops the remote has taken. This product remains a 5/5. Seriously, its good and you cant tell the difference! Buy it and use all the money you save for something else!
Bed bases are heavy, takes two strong people to move and assemble inside a bed frame. Bed work great and have good features (vib, light, controls, remotes). There was a problem with one of the motors, but I made one phone call and had a new motor in a couple of days. We have had the bases for several months without any problems. I would buy again.

Buried at the end of the how to use the remote instructions was a statement to use a power strip with a grounded outlet to protect the beds electric motors and control boxes. The man who assembled it for me never got that far and I have very erratic power with lots of lightning storms causing surges.
Also the Remote does not glow at night until you press a button yet there is no way to know which button you are pressing and the glow lasts only a split second or so.

Mad my Dr didnt say get one. Stupid I didnt think of it myself. Happy I have friends that offer GOOD advice. I wake up each morning with ZERO back pain. Before I had to take medicine and wait 20 minutes to struggle out of bed. Now I get up put on coffee let the dogs out pour some coffee and my back is now hurting and I take a pill. But I SLEEP like a healthy man. My wife loves the bed for tv watching or browsing with her tablet,,,,and of course for the restful nights sleep.
I bought this queen adjustable bed for my kid that has reflux and cant sleep flat. I used her regular mattress with it, it works just fine. The bed is easy to assemble, I assembled alone and I am a female in my late 40s but I dont suggest as it is very heavy. I like that the remote is corded so it doesnt get lost. The bed is pretty quiet and its reasonablly priced. I would recommend.

What we expected. We originally bought a more basic one from store but it came broken and they made it such a pain to exchange we just returned it.
