Sturdy bed, futon is easy to switch back and fourth. Instructions are fairly clear but could be a little better. Pay attention as you go to where future holes line up.
Quality is about the level of Ikea. The assembly was a little worse though. Trick is to make sure you leave things loose until the very end even after you put down the bed slats.
You can clearly see the seems when youre done and it wont pass for nice furniture but it does the job. I only paid 140.
This was easy for me to assemble (Im a 50 woman and did the whole thing myself. I have a bunk bed version of this as well in my sons room. We put this in an office above a desk. The only drawback is that if youre over 4 6, youll bump your head standing under this bed. Otherwise, aside from it being a little wobbly when my son climbs up, it works fine. I am considering anchoring it to the wall for extra security.

Pretty sturdy (it does wiggle a little when I climb up with my young son, but we dont have it anchored to the wall. It does take a couple of hours to put together, and is easier with two people, but the instructions are pretty easy to follow and it comes with extra bolts, washers, etc which is great. I was a little concerned that theres not a gap in the railing where the ladder is, but even my 3 1/2 year old doesnt really have a problem with that. The ladder bars are pretty narrow, and hurt my feet a little unless I turn my foot a little sideways. Overall, though, it is perfect for the price and I really couldnt ask for better!

THEY SPEND MOST OF THEIR DAYS LOUNGING ON THEM , AND ITS BEEN CLOSE TO 5 MONTHS AND THEYRE STILL INTACT AND NO SCRES HAVE COME LOSE I BOUGHT 2 SET OF THESE AND BUILT THEM ALONE WITH MY DEWALT POWER DRILL IN UNDER 5HRS… I LOVE BUILDING THINGS I TOOK GREAT JOY BUILDING THESE… DELIVERY WA SFAST BUT THE UPS DELIVERY GUY REFUSED TO BRING THEM UP, BECAUSE THEY WERE HEAVY, BUT THAT ISNT MY PROBLEM , WHY TAKE A JOB IF YOURE NOT GONNA COMPLY WITH IT , I ENDED UP PAYING SOMEBODY TO BRING THEM UP I FILED A COMPLAINT AGAISNT THE UPS WORKER. LET THAT BE A LESSON NOW OVERALL IM HAPPY AND SO ARE THE LITTLE ONES , THANKS.

UPDATE: 10/10/2019 this bed finally gave out, screws kept falling apart and wouldnt just stay screwed, had to dismantle and replace with another one Im sad to part ways with it but happy it lasted this long
This is a very useful bed as it fits underneath a regular sized bed and pulls out when needed.There was a lot of banging and noise when my guy assembled it, but it was worth it.
BTW, the mattress is a seperate item and doesnt come with it.

Bought this for my ten year old daughter to save space in her room. Went together pretty easy doesnt squeak, seems pretty solid.
