Tons of assembly required. Its also HUGE and theres not a lot of room to sit up on the bottom bunk. I have a house in my house. My kids love it and sleep great in it, but brace yourself for an afternoon of assembly. I have no idea how Ill disassemble it when moving time comes. I wish the curtains were held on by something more difficult to tear down than Velcro, but its easy to alter yourself if you chose. Its quite a statement piece, and looks really awesome, but if youre not much of a DIY-er, and plan to move eventually, Id probably go for a simpler designed bunk bed.
