I got this for a relative, who has limited mobility and was having a really hard time transferring from a wheel chair or to an armchair. It really works great. When extended as far as possible, you dont really sit down, just lean back a little bit into the chair. Then it powers down to a sitting or reclining position. Ditto when standing up. She absolutely loves it, one of the best purchases I have made.
