To be clear, this is not in my home foyer / I think I would purchase a more refined construction for that. But in terms of function, this thing is great. I use it in my basement for putting on bike gear, where it helps to sit down and to also be able to stage a few things. Im glad I opted for the metal bench / initially was going to get the bamboo version, but if you are looking for rock solid stability and dont want it to go rickety over time, go for metal.
