I wasnt entirely sure what to expect with this item, especially given that some parts of it are made from pressed wood. However, the top and the lower shelf are both solid wood, giving this piece solidity and weight. I had a little trouble with putting the lower shelf on, and it is very easy to scrape the legs in trying to do so. You just have to be very patient and careful. The only problem with the pressed wood legs is that they dont stain well if you do have to do any touchups.
