For the price this a good bed. That being said, spend a little extra and make it a great bed. Throw away those wooden slats that hold the mattress up. The only thing they hold up is disappointment. Go to home depot and have them cut you a 3/4 sanded pine sheet of plywood to 38 5/8 × 74. You children will live longer. Also make sure you glue the joints together and use blue loctite on any of the screw cam fittings... they tend to back out after awhile and things get loose.
