The directions for assembly were very easy to follow and had pictures as well. It took two people to put them together. The slats are bound together in an accordion style so that you secure one end and then slide them to the other end for perfect spacing. Each slat is then screwed to the frame for added support. I also like the fact that they can also be used as two separate twin beds.
