The entire series of parts were hidden in a secret compartment in the back of the headboard. It was really simple to put together despite the sparse instructions because it followed a very clean easy to follow logic in its design.
The included hex ratchet made getting into some of the tighter spots simple. The entire process from unboxing to sliding the mattress on to the frame took me about 30 minutes to do on my own.
The entire time I was assembling the frame I was commenting to my wife how impressed I was with whomever the engineer is that designed the bed.
The only thing I have to complain about is their arbitration agreement that you have to contact them to opt out of. Not a fan.
