This bed was much sturdier than I expected it to be. It wasnt at all hard to build, it just took a little bit of time. I may not have needed to, but just to be safe i bought two bunkie boards to put under the mattresses to make sure that the boys weight was always distributed across all the support slats evenly. ALL GOOD!
