This table is beautiful. It arrived well-packed in the box with styrofoam protectors all around it. It only took me about twenty minutes to put it together (by the way, the drawer is real and comes with a little knob that screws in). The finish is a pretty semi-glossy white. Im not sure what the wood is made of, but its not cheap pressed wood. I put this table under a window, but it would work anywhere: kitchen, office, or bedroom.
